It rarely happens. But it happened.
To me it seemed like an extended version of a simpsons series. Their jokes can’t get any more hilarious than it already is. With some sadistic humor, and mostly American lines, it was obvious many couldn’t understand the jokes in between. Seriously, I was falling asleep. I mean, I am indeed a big fan of the Simpsons, but this on just somehow was over rated, which disappointed my expectations. This is one of those movies that you HAVE to watch, but watch it twice? No. Some might probably disagree with what I have to say, but truthfully it certainly was an extended series. Watch it for yourselves and see.=)
A sequel of course from the first movie ‘Bruce Almighty’, but doesn’t have the same element of amusement compared to the first one in my opinion. Probably because Steve Carell isn’t that much of a good actor and comedian compared to Jim Carrey. But this certainly has way more Godly input which is why it is getting lotsa bad reviews and comments on it? But I do enjoy it, it certainly is a wake up call to certain areas. Like when you are going through a struggle, I probably see this one in a different point of view. But yea, in this one Steve Carell doesn’t get to play “God” for a day but gets instruction to built an ark as soon as he is appointed as Congressmen. There are a few hilarious lines, but just not that many.=) But one line in the movie cited by “God” struck my attention. It goes like this,
“Let me ask you something. If someone prays for patience, you think God gives them patience? Or does he give them the opportunity to be patient? If he prayed for courage, does God give him courage, or does he give him opportunities to be courageous? If someone prayed for the family to be closer, do you think God zaps them with warm fuzzy feelings, or does he give them opportunities to love each other?”
Isn’t it true?
Yea, no more will I say about this movie. Not so sure whether the government will allow it to be screened in cinemas though?
Simpsons tomorrow.=D
No I’m didn’t knocked up..-_-
It’s about a movie which I’m sure many of you heard of by now.=)
Ben Stone played by (Seth Rogen) and Allison Scott played by the beautiful( Katherine Heigl) meets up one night at a bar and gets a lil too drunk which ends up leading them both into a one night stand. After that night they both parted ways because of the different lives their living but, 8 weeks later Ben gets a call from Allison telling him she’s pregnant. Despite having so little in common and arguing over every single thing they try their best to work out a relationship, for the baby. Ben being a slacker all his life used to be a pot-smoker and a porn site designer finds himself in a position where he has to decide to do something to change his life and be a better person in order to prove to everyone that he is capable of being a responsible dad. A movie about how they struggle to everything right, yet seem to keep doing everything wrong. It certainly has that element of humor and touching scenes at the same time. And if you think your looking for some cheap porn movie judging by the title, this isn’t it.=)
Coming out in cinemas 9th August!!
The moment I first saw the speakers I knew there was something wrong. The husband dressed up that resemble what seems to me like a communist and the wife.. she just looks weird. I tried to keep an open mind though, thinking that it might not be so bad after all. So when Eric introduced him, Steven Chong, we all clapped. As he walked up to the front his first words that came out were ” Keep Quiet”!! with that mean, cold, shut up kinda tone. If you were there you would feel disrespected as most of us were. Then he started talking about who knows what. What’s the use? He already lost all his audience. His spastic disease is seriously annoying. His heads jerks every minute!! Dude talk your pills man!! He has just got bad communication skills. He brags about how much degree and experience he has and all that shit but doesn’t even know how to operate an LCD projector even with his Cert in Computer Science!! I’m guessing he got it from like the 70′s or something you know. Before LCD’s existed.
Then the wife comes on. Starts talking crap about I don’t know you and you don’t know me. Gives us some stupid poem of “success” and ask us to recite it from the top of our lungs. They give us 10% at the beginning and we must repeat the freaking poem til we reach 100%. No matter how hard we shout they will only increase 10% every time. Like what the right!!?? And they say their trying to break us. Who do they think they are!! God?!! pfft.
This is how it goes:
After that the wife will on some weird tribal music shit. Ask us to close our eyes, breathe in and out, and go with the flow. Seriously??? It sounds like new age crap man. And when I opened my eyes I saw her dancing away and it was a nightmare!! Even the devil would be scared looking at her dance. Freak!
There was also a cheer throughout the camp. Where they shouted “winners!!” and we do the Starjump and shout ” I’m Alive!!” It felt like Cheer 2007 yet boot camp at the same time. From then on I just skipped and walked out from a couple of sessions.
The last night was the freakiest. Being the climax and all, they decide to do some inner healing stuff. They waited til the night was dark, and they’ll leave the hall lights off so it would be pitch black. Then they arrange chairs back to back kinda thing. And ask you to come in pairs girl to girl, guy to guy. I just somehow had the chills that time. My goosebumps were up yo! I knew there was something wrong with that. And so I heard testimony’s of people that walked out of that room. Some sad music would be playing and the speakers wife would tell all the depressing stories in the world to try to bring up your “inner hurts”. My ass la. It’s probably good for SOME people la. But seriously, you don’t do healing in less than three days or in hours!! Bloody freaking wanna-be psychologist. More like psychotic they are.
Other than that the venue is alright la. Although it probably isn’t the best idea to choose such a place. The college knows there is a majority of students that smokes and drinks. Yet they choose a venue for the camp which disallows all these. furthermore with such an asswipe speaker and bounded inside the gates of that place, what is there to do!!!??? They want to fine everyone who broke the rules. Might as well fine everyone right.
And what saddens me is to hear how the staff threaten the students. So many times they say if you don’t attend they session or if you break the rules they will take away your scholarship. I mean, I don’t rely on scholarship, but what right do they have to say that. As long as the students perform in their studies what is wrong, it’s not like they’ll end up in jail or something. Threatening shouldn’t be something used against students. I wonder what the CEO’s think of this. The staff will probably find some reason to cover it up like they always do with the parents. And maybe it’s time the college stop blaming the students for the mess, but blame themselves for causing the students to create such messes?
Seriously, if you do come to LIFE college, not that I’m suggesting you should, find whatever reason to skip the camps.
And the speakers, their Singaporeans btw. I used to like Singaporeans despite all the shit-ass stories about them. Now these couple just enhanced the rotten image of their country.
I shall not waste my energy on hating them and concentrate on finish my course BEFORE JULY 2008!!
There’s my goal. pfft
p/s: I do not have any pictures of the speakers out of fear that their evil-ness will destroy my poor lil’ cameras.
And wait for the videos… *wink wink. We’ll show you our “sessions”.XD
That’s all the pictures in my camera.=) Click the picture for a bigger view.
Videos will take awhile.*wink wink*

Army of Three is out with their 1st EP/single. If you don’t know them yet, they are one of the freshest bands to come out of the Klang Valley. The band consists of Jeff (28) on lead vocals and guitars, Alex (21) on guitars and backing vocals, Eddy (25) on the drums and Darren (20) on bass and backing vocals. Army of Three is a band about the Power of Trinity, which represents the band’s faith and background. more here..
I got the album when my friend Darren/bassist came over to GT for the Influence Conference, and talked me into a situation where I had no choice but to buy the cd. Kidding. lol.. But for RM12 this EP is certainly worth the money. With an awesome design on the inlays and CD jacket.

It’s kinda blur. Gosh I’m starting to hate my camera.-_-
It contains three songs, Blind me to see, Take Me, and I’ll never walk away. All energetic songs with meaningful lyrics. Rockers, you WANT this.
It’s a really awesome album, their one of the uprising bands, so I suggest you get it now while it’s still cheap. =)
The only place where you can get it online as far as I know, is from StarMaker
Other than that you could just log on to their site and catch their next gig. I’m sure they’ll have plenty their.
Thumbs up to these guys.
And I really need to go study..=S
The 5th sequel of the J.K Rowling million-dollar series Harry Potter once again comes to life on screens worldwide. I’m not really a big fan of Potter and his adventures(more of a Emma Watson fan..XD), but have watched his last few movies. This one being rather different in the sense the character itself was evolving. Taking on a battle by himself was now impossible. He knew he needed his friends by his side, yet at the same time not wanting them involved out of fear, that they might just meet the same fate as Cedric Diggory. With Voldemort back yet the Ministry of Magic refusing to believe Dumbledore and Harry, they face an uphill battle convincing people you-know-who is back. In the end managing to convince his Ron and Hermoine as well as a few other students from Hogwarts they begin their own training under Harry to learn up magic that will help them engage battle against the dark side when time comes.
This movie once again leaving audience captivated and yet with the right suspense to keep them awaiting for the next sequel. Which is the same way rather how J.K Rowling draws more and more fans with each publishing, and with the final book releasing tomorrow, one can only imagine the success she will make upon releasing one of the most awaited secret in fiction writings.
Hawt!!! =p
An animated movie a about a city rat in Paris who has a unique ability for smelling food. One day bumps into the kid’s life, who so happens wants to be a chef but has no talent in cooking at all. A movie about the world of food and it’s critics. Somewhat inspiring in the end of the short movie. I enjoyed. I would watch it again when it premiers in Malaysia August 16th.
One of my favorite lines..
“In many ways, the work of a critic is easy. We risk very little yet enjoy a position over those who offer up their work and their selves to our judgment. We thrive on negative criticism, which is fun to write and to read. But the bitter truth we critics must face is that, in the grand scheme of things, the average piece of junk is more meaningful than our criticism designating it so. But there are times when a critic truly risks something, and that is in the discovery and defense of the new. Last night, I experienced something new, an extraordinary meal from a singularly unexpected source. To say that both the meal and its maker have challenged my preconceptions is a gross understatement. They have rocked me to my core. In the past, I have made no secret of my disdain for Chef Gusteau’s famous motto: Anyone can cook. But I realize that only now do I truly understand what he meant. Not everyone can become a great artist, but a great artist can come from anywhere. It is difficult to imagine more humble origins than those of the genius now cooking at Gusteau’s, who is, in this critic’s opinion, nothing less than the finest chef in France. I will be returning to Gusteau’s soon, hungry for more.” ~ Anton Ego
Remarkable isn’t it. One of the best Animations this summer, better then Shrek I say.=)
