So near yet so far.

I went for Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf’s annual Barista Competition today.

It was a last minute decision, cause my co-worker couldn’t make it.

So yea, I didn’t really expect to achieve anything. I just went in and did my best and came out.

But when the results came out, I got 2nd! 3% short of the first place. rawrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

I wish I had been told earlier, then I could have practiced. rawrrrr

It’s just 4 drinks in 10 minutes. But I could have perfected it. What a waste.

I could have gone on to the next round and won 1000$USD… hmph!

I will go again next year! rawrrrrrr…….

So training ended yesterday..=)

Three days with random people from random places around klang valley which in the end turned out to be one helluva unique bunch of peeps.=)

Gonna miss them. *no im not gonna cry*

But yea, training was boring though, learning stuff i could have learned at the outlet, which I did learn the Ice Blended stuff before I went to training.

Big disappointment because they took out the Gourmet training out of their program. Have to learn yourself on the job. Goodness. Which in other words means during rush meal hours. =S

But yea, other than that they of course brainwashed us with Coffeebean history and values and bla bla bla…

I’m not a theory guy. pfft

I love Coffeebean.=)

Not LOVE love la, but yea, enough to make me stay there for I guess quite awhile.=)

Money Minded

People have asked me why I go to a reasonable paying job to a less pay job.

Truthfully, even though it may hard to believe, I actually don’t worry too much about the pay.

If I feel i’m not being shortchanged then I’m fine with it. I’ll work what I can with the hours I’m available and earn as much as I can.

Because if someone works FOR money, then it just kills the joy of working.

I love my new job, even though it may not be the best paying job available in Klang Valley with my credits.

So yea, it might take awhile before I get to save up enough for that Saxophone, but I guess I’m fine with having to adapt to ‘cheaper’ lifestyle in this city.

Which I feel I can do it.=)

I’m attending a three-day training with The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf©, so yea.

It’s at Cheras, of ALL places. pfft.

I kinda like it, even though it’s boring.

Oh well, comes with the job I guess.

Back to work.

It feels great to be working again. I love working. It’s like akunamatata orgasms to me. XD

This time waaaaaaay better with Coffeebean™.

At least they have uber nice Managers. pfft.
